What versions will see SATA and SSD drives
I am using Acronis 11 and it won't see my SATA drives or my new Solid State SATA drive. I had a copy of 2012 but I can't find it. I can boot from the CD and I don't see anything accept a USB drive. None of the SATA drives installe in the machine are showing up.

Why should I have to buy a plus pack to make ATI 2013 work with standard hardware? I don't want to buy something that won't work.

Most users don't need the Plus Pack. If your hardware is recognized by the regular bootable Rescue Media, you won't need the Plus Pack. Pat just mentioned it as an option in case you required it.
BTW, there is no such thing as "standard hardware". While the bootable Rescue Media works with a wide range of hardware combinations, sometimes it doesn't recognize some less-common or new components, which is where the Plus Pack comes in.
If you download the ATI2013 trial and register its serial # at Acronis.com, you may then download a trial of the bootable Rescue Media to see if it supports your hardware.

I will download the 2013 trial and see what happens. 2011 will see the drives when XP is loaded but it wants to reboot to restore an image to a non-boot drive which I don't understand. When booting from the CD it won't see any drive accept a USB drive.

One option would be to download only the ISO file which would enable you to create a new 2013 Recovery CD and see if it sees your other disk. The CD not seeing the other disks is a drive issue with the CD.
If this does not work, you could try the create of a WinPE disk but that necessitates the purchase of the Plus Pack.

This happened for me in ATI 2012. I was using Intel Z68 sata ports and I purchased 2012 thinking it was going to have USB3 support and support for current hardware and what not. This led me to this board to create winPE disks, which I was unsuccessful at doing.
I ended up using a free option that didn't even need to reboot the OS to clone the boot drive. I ended up purchasing another solution for the WinPE solution because of this WinPE fail that annoyed me. I've since used the purchased software to clone a drive and also didn't need to reboot the machine. I've used the winpe wizard to add drivers very quick and simply, which ATI doesn't have.
