Where is Metadata stored for TI2011
I have a dual boot system with two versions of Windows 7 installed on different Disks. I also have four other disks and have numerous archives stored on external drives. I installed TI2011 on the first system and created my backups with TI2011. When I boot to the other system the TI2011 installation on that system finds the Archives but It doesn't include the "Back up Now" button in the archive entry. I can't use incremental without making another complete backup on that system. Where is the metadata stored and can I copy it to the second system so it behaves just as the original system and allows incremental backups without creating a new Full Backup all over again?
I have TI 2013 which works with Win 7 also. See top of attached screen capture for trail to location of storage of metadata files in 2013. It could be in other places besides that one. Maybe 2011 is similar? All folders and files need to be made visible, using tools and folder options. I can't answer your other question as I only create full back-ups, and actually erase the metadata files as I go, which seems to eliminate the re-creation of unwanted folders where deleted back-ups were once stored. That drove me nuts for a while.
