Why are ATI 2011 backup files so much bigger than ATI 2010?

Thread needs solution

I just got ATI 2011. I have been using ATI 2010. I have two windows 7 computers. I backed up the C: drive partition (complete) on both computers. The tib files from ATI 2011 are much bigger than the same exact backups using ATI 2010. Both were using default compression settings. I did try using Max compression settings on the 2011 version just to see. Still nowhere near what 2010 does normally.

Computer A Backup file sizes
ATI 2010: 20gig
ATI 2011: 29gig
ATI 2011 (max compression) : 27gig

Computer B Backup file sizes
ATI 2010: 9gig
ATI 2011: 18gig

There seems to be a 9gig overhead with ATI 2011. Can anybody explain this or have any ideas? If this can't be fixed or this is the way it has to be I'm going back to ATI 2010. A 30% - 50% file size increase is unacceptable.

Inspect your backup task very carefully as to your selection of what is to be backed up. Perhaps you have some duplication or something checked that should not be checked.

There is no overhead being added by 2011 as compared to 2010.
