Why did I have to take additional steps?
Basically, I was able to accomplish what I wanted to do, but why did I have to take additional steps?
I just wanted to clone my hard drive (active or system partition) onto a new and bigger hard drive and make it bootable. I got the job done, but using additional step to do it. If I was not so computer literate I don't think I could have done what I did.
The main question that I have is why doesn't the "Clone Disk" feature work? When it saids, under automatic (recommended), "All your partitions from the source hard drive will be copied to the target disk in a few simple steps and your new hard drive will be made bootable. Your existing partions will be automatically resized to fit the target hard drive."
That is exactly what I wanted it to do, but it doesn't work. I had to take additional steps like make a secure zone (SZ) and then delete the secure zone to extend the parition though out the entire drive.
I have TI 2010 Build (6.053)
Don't get me wrong I am happy I was able to accomplish what I wanted to do, but why doesn't this feature (Clone Disk) work? It would be so much easier if it did.
