Will ATI 2009 resolve my Lenix/WD 1TB usb2 HD problem

Thread needs solution

A question for Acronis, and comments from forum users welcome:

I know my ATI v9 is no longer supported, and am ready to purchase ATI 2009 ( I think 2010 is still Beta, and don't want to risk that). I also don't think Acronis Backup and Recovery workstation is a solution: I use a "run first" batch file to rename/date my Full backups and in this regard my ATIv9 has been very stable, and I've been very pleased, .....until I put it on my new Dell Vostro backing to a network mapped drive and ALSO to a WD Elements 1TB external USB 2 HD. The ATI Lenix boot environment (ATI Bootable Media) does not "see" the WD 1TB drive. I've been frustrated in my attempts to create a BartPE boot disk to address this issue.

I imagine the issue is the Lenix environment and lack of plug-in or support for the WD drive. I KNOW my version 9 is no longer supported. I want to know if ATI 2009 in the Lenix boot disk environment (not Windows) is known to be compatible with my hardware..and/or if (as has been the case in the past) there is a universal ISO which is KNOWN to find the WD 1TB USB 2 external drive.

That's the only reason I need to upgrade, and will gladly do so if there is confidence that ATI 2009 create a Lenix boot disk which will fully work in my environment.

Why not download the trial TI2009 version and try it?

You can create an archive with the Windows version (time-limited) and then boot up the TI CD and validate and ideally restore the created image to a spare HD.

Hello Acronis customer,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

You can also create BartPE bootable disc and see if it works. I would recommend you create BartPE bootable disc using Acronis BartPE plug-in, you can download plugin from your account.  If some drivers are not recognized by Acronis True Image Home 2009 you may use BartPE bootable disc. It is possible to add any storage drivers at startup in the same manner as when installing Windows on the hard drive (by pressing F6 and inserting diskette with drivers).

To create BartPE bootable disc with the Acronis True Image plug-in you should download PE builder from the following link
