Will ATI 2013 Rescue Disk work w Windows 10?

Thread needs solution

This question is about the ATI 2013 Rescue Disk only.
Not the windows installable GUI software.

I use the Rescue Disk (Linux based ?) to periodically image my drives on Win 7 Pro system.

Has Windows 10 introduced any new disk pr partition types that will make the use of the ATI 2013 Rescue Disk incompatible with Windows 10 systems?

Will this work for

1. Image my Win 7 system
2. Restore data from it booting off the rescue disk after upgrading to Windows 10?

3. Imaging Windows 10 volumes
4. Restore data from the image when (booting off the Rescue disk) running Windows 10?

Thanks.
PS: Any reason to upgrade to ATI 2015 if I use Rescue Disks ONLY for imaging and restores?

Will ATI 2015 work as a standalone product as far as Rescue disk is concerned?
I see no point in going for a subscription model if I use rescue disks and local storage only ...

Anyone?

Can ATI 2013 Rescue disk be used to backup and restore disks and partitions used in Windows 10?
These are large disks 2-4 TB with GPT partitions.

Anyone?

Can U use ATI 2013 rescue disk (boot time) to backup and restore disks on a Win 10 system?

Acronis has written that 2015 and newer will be needed to be compatible with Win 10.

2013 was not compatible with Windows 8.1

Right now True Image 2015 and prior are not capable of restoring a retail GPT system to a new disk and have the partitions be placed in the same order as original.

In my opinion, I would not expect to use 2013 on your Windows 10 system.

But, I am a user and no expert. You asked for opinions and I have listed mine.

Even for Boot-time backup and restores?

Is there a ATI 2015 product that is not subscription based?

As stated above, even 2015 TI Recovery CD will not restore GPT disks in same partition sequences as current retail systems which are GPT.
I would not recommend 2013 CD for Win10 or Win 8.1

The "Unlimited" is subscription based.

Acronis True Image 2015 for PC and Mac 3 Computer (English) is not subscription based.

So, is "unlimited" the only product whose Recovery CD will backup and restore GPT disks correctly? Is there any ATI product that will?

No. Currently it will not.

No there is not.

"Unlimited" just means you get cloud storage and "free" updates to the current version as long as you maintain your subscription. Right now the current version is 2015 which isn't capable of correctly restoring GPT partitions to a new disk. In a few weeks 2016 will be the current version. The 2016 beta currently isn't capable of correctly restoring GPT partitions to a new disk either.

Wow! Good info.
And somewhat surprising. GPT partitions are not new ..

Thanks all! Saved me from naively using my 2013 software (or buying 2015 version!)

Is there ANY software that will do this? PM me if it is against the rules to discuss non-Acronis software here.

Now that ATI 2016 is out (I will get the $30 non-cloud version), any issues w using the Rescur disk to backup and restore Win 10 systems?

I am still on Win 7 Pro.
I plan to backup all drives, upgrade to Win 10 and restore if needed. If not, then I'll use ATI 2016 Boot disk to backup the C: drive periodically.

Good plan?
