will it work for me?

Thread needs solution

I downloaded the trial version of acronis home 2012 a few days ago and last night started my first disc and partition backup, 15 hours later when I came home the log said, backup cancelled by user, and shows onscreen, no backup made, yet, my WD1TB external hard drive does show the appropiate 450gb as having been used, as estimated in the initial procedure. Why does it say this when i did not cancel anything?

Also reviewing the manual i saw the following,

* Acronis True Image Home 2012 does not support the following dynamic volume types: Mirrored and RAID-5. There are some additional limitations on operations with dynamic and GPT disks:

I now know today i have a - a raid 1 disk mirror.

Is this the cause, is acronis any use to me for backup if i have mirrored discs?

ATI can say the user cancelled when an error popped up with a dialog box requiring some input from the user (for example "destination is not available, click browse to specify another one or cancel" or something along these lines) and the dialog box times out with the default action ("cancel").

For the support of a raid 1 disk set up in hardware, you should not have issue. If you set up your RAID 1 in software (for example with Windows Disk Management) you will need the Acronis Plus Pack.
