Why not use one of your prior backups and restore your C partition back to what it was prior to the 7046 upgrade. Copy off any of your current personal data not included in the 2009 backup before the restoration.

Once you do that, then uninstall 2009 and then a fresh install of 7046. Any of the TI install programs is a complete standalone install.

i don't have any prior backup, this is new build box never had any chance to backing up anything
good thought

i don't want to format and install all my application again, hope Acronis could help me analyze log file
thanks

Do you have a Windows Restore option checkpoint which might assist?

Have you tried using the Acronis 2010 clean up tool?

2010 Clean Up

Bodgy
clean tool was first thing i'd try it
i'm not sure what to do now,i have to many programs to strart it from scratch, hope Acronis will give me some hints after analyzing log file
lets hope
thx!

You might want to look at item 4-O inside my signature index below. This link uses registry edits to accomplish the fix to that issue.

Artur,

Try this instead (As suggested by Richard Virtue)

Open up registry and search in the following three places;

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UpgradeCodes
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Features
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\UpgradeCodes

For the key ID:
958E01D-D64F-8074-D14A-A2281C0C09DE

Delete the above keys.

The installation keys are found here in your log file, and appear in reverse in registry.

1: MSIGEN:Determing context for {D1E0E859-F46D-4708-A41D-ED90C0C1822A}

It might be worthwhile to uninstall TI2009, before performing the above.

i could not find any entry 3A83DE76-2884-B844-D44B-5D7D00BA8243, i'd search whole registry

Colin
i did find without dashes 958E0E1DD64F80744AD1DE090C1C28A2
i did delete those 3 entry no changes, still could not install it
there is many more with some string should i delete all of them?

i think during crash something corupt registry keys somewhere, and acronis can't write to it
thanks

Hello all,

Colin and GroverH, thank you very much for your help.

ArturCMX, let me assist you.

Could you please create another MS Installer log file and attach it to your reply to this thread? It will allow me to determine what exactly prevents you from installing the new build of the software?

I'm looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

Hello ArturCMX,

Thank you very much for the provided log file.

According to it, there are some traces of the previous installation.

Please start Registry Editor from Start -> Run -> regedit , then find and delete the key:

86627AC9CC687445872987354EF9730A

After that, please reboot your PC and start the installation again.

Please let me know if the issue still persists.

Thank you.

Ilya

Hello ArturCMX,

Thank you for getting back to us.

I have analyzed the log file and I just wanted to clarify that you are installing Acronis True Image 2010 Home 7046 on your machine, it is not the Plus Pack add-on and you do not have plus pack installed.

Please search for the registry entry beginning with these numberss - 9CA72668, it is the one that Ilya suggested, but only in reverse order.

If you still fail to find it, I believe the best way to resolve this issue would be to contact our support with the MSI log that you created for us, an AcronisInfo report and ask our support engineers to escalate the case to our Expert team.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or require further assistance.

Thank you.
