Windows 10

Thread needs solution

Yesterday, I recevied an "invite" for a free to upgrade to Windows 10 when it's released later this year. I currently am running Windows 7, 64-bit, Home Premium, SP1. Will True Image 2015 be compatable with Windows 10 when it's first released or should I wait?

Thanks.

I am in the same situation as Mike. Upgrade invite to Windows 10 requires I uninstall my True Image Home 2011. Is the 2015 version compatible with or will it be compatible with Win 10 when released the end of July. I would like to back-up my stuff prior to the upgrade and would hope I would be able to back it out if things go south. Thanks !!

Scott, fyi, 2015 is backwards compatible to 2011. The reason I know that is that I had 2011 on my PC until two weeks ago when one of my hard drives crashed. Once I replaced my drive and reloaded Windows, the first thing I did was to try and install True Image 2011 from my original install CD so that I can reload my data. I could not find my 2011 serial number, so I thought I was screwed! I looked on Acronis, com and noticed that they have a trial version of 2015. I took a chance and loaded it, and I was able to get to my 2011 backups! Fortunately, I found my 2011 serial number. I uninstalled the 2015 trial version, installed 2011 and then upgraded to 2015. The upgrade is only $25. I've been fine ever since. I would definitely recommend upgrading to 2015. It's faster than 2011, and it includes cloud storage backups (although I haven't tried that yet.) Also I don't believe Acronis supports 2011 any longer.

Mike.
