That's a good question and deserves an accurate and complete answer from Acronis. Wondering what issues are to be feared in upping to Win 10 myself.

I had a hard drive crash and it turned out all the backups I made under Windows 10 using Acronis 2015 were bad. The files I restored couldn't be read. I also tried using Acronis 2015 to clone a drive with Windows 10 on it and that was unsuccessful too. Beware if you are using Windows 10.

I am using Windows 10 and was wondering if it was even worth it to do backups with 2015. Looks like I'm forced to upgrade to 2016 :(

Never heard of that - I'll have to check that out :)

Did you made backups through BOOT ISO CD ?

Normally, ATI BOOT ISO CD made backup will be good
also make sure to made full disk backup.

This is ridiculous. I just purchased this 6 months ago. For them not to support windows 10 is obscene. It barely worked on windows 7. I can't even chat with anyone in technical support without paying more money? I'm all ears for alternative software solutions.

Hello!

Im planning on upgrading to Win10 very soon and would very much like a response from Acronis on this, I have 2015 and wasn't planning on buying 2016 since according to their site 2015 will support Win10.

Tobias

I went ahead and purchased the upgrade last night for 2016, and did an incremental backup to an already established backup that was established using 2015. No issues there.

While working today I accidentally deleted something I didn't want to, an entire folder of many files. I was able to restore both via the "Recover files" option, and also by mounting the *.tib file. Both ways produced the same result, with the exception of the top level folder having a different time stamp when using the mount approach.

My backup approach is incremental daily, and then produce a new full backup every 14 days.

I chose to stick with Acronis since I feel it's very easy to use, and has worked when I needed it to.
