Windows 10, Acronis 2011 Not Compatable
I am afraid that I messed up installing Windows 10. Windows 10 install message said Acronis 2011 was not compatable and I gave it permission to uninstall it. I have a Acronis True Image 2015 disc ready to install on the Windows 10 machine, this version has never been activated. Since I had the Windows 10 install uninstall the older version of Acronis when I install the Acronis 2015 version will it be be able to discover the way that the backups were configured in the older version of Acronis 2011?

Thanks for your post, your Acronis 2011 version is not supported for Windows 10, only the 2015 and 2016 versions are compatible.
To answer your question about your 2011 backup configuration files, this will really depend on what actually got uninstalled plus what was carried forward by the Windows 10 upgrade process from the old 2011 product.
Typically with the Windows 10 upgrade, it creates a Windows.OLD folder in the root of drive C: (system drive) and within that .OLD folder, you will find copies of the previous version of Windows folder, plus Program Files folders and ProgramData folders.
The current versions of ATIH store the backup configuration files in the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder. I don't have access to an ATIH 2011 installation to check if that was the same for that version, but suspect it may well be, so first check what you have in the new C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder - if it exists for Windows 10 (which it may not do). Note: this folder path may be hidden on your system, if so, go into Folder Options and select to Show hidden files, folders and drives from the options given - see screen shots below:
If you don't have any Acronis folders in the Windows 10 installation, then check for the same in the Windows.OLD folders, where this should exist because this is the means of reverting back from 10 to your previous Windows 7 or 8.1 product.
One word of caution here - I would recommend not restoring back any Scripts from ATIH 2011 immediately after installing your unactivated ATIH 2015 product - create a new backup task first and check that all works correctly for you.
The recommended way forward would be to create new backup tasks for each of the old tasks that you had in 2011 but you could try restoring the old task script files one by one and testing each in turn to ensure that they work correctly with the 2015 product.

I have tried the uninstall instructions but it gives me an error message:
#Checking windows version.
#Wrong windows version detected.
#Press "Enter" to close the tool.
I am currently running Windows 10. How do I clean out Acronis True Image 2011? I've looked in the "Programs" folder and there is an Acronis folder there.

Hello, please try using the Acronis Cleanup Tool - link in my signature below which should be able to remove your old ATIH 2011 product for you.

I ran the 48668 cleanup tool and followed the instructions, it ran to completion, I didn't reboot till after checking regedit for the entries, there were none, and I then rebooted.
I'm now in the process of install Acronis True Image 2015. After the install I will setup a new backup.
Are there any clearer instructions on how to setup an "incremental" backup? The one I had setup in 2011 would not delete the out of date ones.
To all of those who have helped I really appreciate it.
