Windows 7 64 Bits USB Key BSOD

Thread needs solution

Hi,

So I had a PC with Windows Vista Business 32 bits with Acronis True Image Home 2009 and never had any issue with it..
Last month I bought a new PC with Windows 7 64 Bits Business and installed with Acronis True Image Home 2009 (English) Build # 9809.

Since then I had a lot of issue with all my usb key which where doing blue screens when I was pluging them in the pc…

I searched a lot! On the internet.. to figure out this issue.. and I read a post on a forum talking about Try & Decide (even if you never use it) which is causing this bug..
In fact it’s true I tested it with restoring my computer at a day I knew it had this problem.. So I uninstalled acronis true image and no more problem..

I saw multiple posts on this forum talking about deactivating the service try & decide.. but I didn’t found any post answering the following questions:
1) Is this bug will be corrected in a future version of Acronis True Image Home 2009 (because I installed the last build and still got the trouble on a fresh install)
2) Is this bug known in the new 2010 version?

These two questions are really important as I like Acronis software.. I would really like to find a situation where I can use True Image with my pc without having any issues…

Thanks a lot for your help.

David

Okay so it seems so the last build of ATI 2010 (6053) has no more the issue.. I tried with the trial version and it works...

Will Acronis correct the bug in ATI 2009 too? this bug is really annoying.. if it wont be updated, a free update to 2010 would be nice move from Acronis...

Hello David,

Let me comment this situation.

Currently, we do not have any common issue with BSOD and the latest build of Acronis True Image Home 2009, could you please described the situation in more details? Also, please make a digital photo of BSOD and attach it to your thread.

We had some issues with snapman.sys driver in the past, but they were fixed in 2009 version as well as in Acronis True Image Home 2010.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.
