Windows 7 Backup Error 0x8078002A

Thread needs solution

Installed Acronis True Image 2014 last month. My backup drive is a Seagate GoFlex 3TB external drive.
Acronis backups work OK but Windows 7 Backup fails with 0X8078002A error. I do understand that Windows 7 does not recognize 4K segments on this drive. I've followed instructions using Disk Wizard to repartition the drive into two partitions, one 2TB partition and one 746GB partition. The Windows 7 backup still fails with the same error.
Am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well, this is a forum for Acronis backup, not for Windows backup...

I am truly confounded by answer given by Pat L. It would be helpful if someone who has actually done a backup to the Acronis drive from a Windows computer answered the question. I, too, attempted to do a backup and got the same error message. I would like to know how to solve this problem and complete the backup. Thanks.

PatM is saying Acronis works but Windows Backup doesn't. Did you us TI if so what version? THis forum dose nto troubleshoot Windows Backup Errors. That's why PatL supplied a link. I have done may backups with TI. I have never used Windows Backup. We need more information to help you. Describe exactly what you are doing. BTW PatL has done may backups with TI.
