Windows 7 Scheduler stopped

I have Windows 7 and Acronis true Image 2014. Suddenly my scheduler appears to have stopped. Every time it says click here to enable, I click and it says enabled. But all my backups say that scheduler has stopped however many time I try this. As a result I cant back up anything. It worked OK a few weeks ago. Since then there have been some Windows updates. Has this affected it. Please advise.
