Windows 7 & True Image 11

Thread needs solution

I just purchased a Windows 7 pro system and I have True Image 9 (Original) with an upgrade disk for True image 11. I am wondering a couple of things:

1. Will True Image 11 work with my new Windows 7 pro OS?
2. If so do I have to install my original True Image 9 1st then put the upgrade to True Image 11 on top?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks, ss

In essence no it won't! I'm not sure if TI 11 appears in the MS banned programs installation list, if it does W7 won't let you even install it. If you are able to install it, you are liable to get BSOD's as the TI 11 drivers won't be listed in the correct areas of W7 registry.

Using the Linux based Rescue CD will work, as it isn't using Windows.

In answer to your last question, you would need to have the licence number for TI 9 handy as well as that of TI 11. You'd install TI 11 as though it was a full version (no need to install TI 9), it will ask for the TI 9 licence number and then it's own.
