Windows 7 & XP with ATHI 11 Secure Zone

Thread needs solution

Hello,
Reading this forum I see many people have problems with True Home Image 11 and Windows 7. I have an idea and maybe some of you can verify it. Let me explain.
We have one disk with two partitions C and D. First we install XP Home on C and then Windows 7 Home on D. Win 7 creates bootloader where you can choose either 7 or XP.
You start XP and install Acronis True Home Image 11. It should be possible. Than create Secure Zone and place there an image either of the whole disk or two images of both partitions.
Will it work?

Yes, this should work. Just remember that with a dual-boot installation such as you have, the boot files for both Windows XP and Windows 7 are on the Windows XP partition. You will need them in order to boot Windows 7 so don't delete the C: partition.

You should also boot your PC from a True Image 11 recovery CD to make sure that it sees all of your hardware correctly.

I would also recommend against a Secure Zone. If your disk dies then your backup dies with it. Put your image files on an external USB hard disk instead.
