Windows repair and Acronis Virtual Disk Bus
Hi all,
I had a failing System Drive, so although not the best way to do it I deviced to see if I could recover it anyway. Acronis had a backup of it, so I ordered a replacement drive (3tb) when went about removing the faulty drive, initialising and recovering the backups.
Now of course I'm running Windows 7 32 bit, so GPT is not an option for me and a boot drive.
So while in Acronis I used the Extend Drive capabilities.
Now I want to run a windows repair on my C Drive by booting from DVD.
However it does not recognise there is any windows install. I'm assuming because it does not have the Acronis Virtual Disk Bus. Now finding the .sys file is simple, but the inf and cat file seem to be missing.
Are these available anywhere so I can just add the drivers (F6) and the Win7 DVD will be able to find the drive/partitions?
Cheers
Terry
