Windows Technical Preview

Thread needs solution

I had True Image 2014 installed on laptop running Windows 8.1. I created an image on external drive in case I wanted to go back to Windows 8.1. After installing Windows Technical Preview (to be called Windows 10 when finished), I could not recover the Windows 8.1 image. True Image was still listed on hard drive and would launch but the machine would just freeze trying to launch Acronis Loader. Booting from bootable USB drive would not work either. I had True Image 2011 on another machine running Windows 7. During an install of Windows Technical Preview on that machine the program loader actually uninstalled True Image.
I would consider upgrading to True Image 2015 if I was certain it would work but something tells me that Microsoft has disabled some programs from working-programs like Norton and Acronis.
Any knowledge of that from this forum?
