Windows XP system image when paging files are on two partitions

Thread needs solution

I have two HDD disks and I would like to make swap file on two partitions per Microsoft recommendation. One on first HDD with system files and another one on separate partition on second HDD. "The optimal solution is to create one paging file that is stored on the boot partition, and then create one paging file on another partition that is less frequently accessed on a different physical hard disk".

My question is how to make correct system image. Shell I make system image of both partitions (system +swap file) or paging files from second partition does not need to be backup together with system.

I would appreciate your advice.

Windows knows where the paging files are. If you backup the Windows partition and restore it, Windows should still know. If Windows can't find one or more paging files, it will create a new one.

I'd think you would be fine just backing up the Windows partition (assuming the other partition doesn't contain data that needs backed up).
