Windows10 explorer does not show contents of *.tib-files

I just installed Acronis TrueImage 2015 on a friend´s computer (Windows 10 x64, version 1709, build 16299.334).

Everything seemed to work well, but it was not possible to open *.tib-files in Windows explorer by double-click on the file just as I´m used to do on my own computer (same Windows version, same Acronis version, different Acronis serial numbers).

I noticed, that *.tib extension was associated with Acronis TrueImage program, so the Acronis program opened on double-click. But this is not really helpful, if you want to have a look at the contents of the *.tib-file or if you want to extract something.

On my own computer there is no association to the *.tib extension at all.

So what can I do in order to make double-click on *.tib-files work in the same way it does on my computer?

Am besten einen rechtsklick auf die .tib Datei machen und "Öffnen mit" auswählen.

Wenn dort etwas anderes als "Diese App weiterhin verwenden" - "Windows Explorer" steht, auf "Weitere Apps" klicken und "Windows Explorer" aus der Liste auswählen. "Immer diese App zum öffnen von .tib Dateien verwenden" anhaken nicht vergessen.

 

Sollte "Windows Explorer" nicht dabei sein, die Liste ganz nach unten scrollen und "Andere App auf diesem PC suchen" anklicken und im Windows Ordner den "Explorer.exe" auswählen.

Danke für den Tipp, werde ich in den nächsten Tagen bei meinem Bekannten so einstellen!

Auf meinem Rechner steht´s so und der funktioniert ja auch.

PS: irgendwie funktioniert die E-Mail-Benachrichtigung hier im Formum nicht (mehr), aber das ist ein ganz anderes Thema.

habe jetzt die *.tib-Files mit dem Explorer verknüpft - jetzt funtioniert das wie es soll.
