WinPE / Startup Recovery Manager?

Thread needs solution

The only way to boot and access all my drives is to use the WinPE Plus Disk I made.

Is it possible to use that ISO or do anything so I can boot the ISO from a partition on my hard drive?

Second Choice is boot from USB Stick.

Ian,

Are you saying that TIH 2012 doesn't see any of your drives when run from Windows or Windows doesn't see your drives with 2012 installed?

The only way to boot from an ISO is to use the Grub bootloader, which will require installing and changing your MBR. Alternatively there are some utilities on the internet which will convert an ISO to a VHD in which case if you are running vista or W7 Ultimate or Enterprise you can add it to the booting list in your BCD.

Ian:

Yes, it's possible and quite simple to boot the Acronis Windows PE ISO image, stored on your hard disk (the ISO can be located in any partition) using Grub4DOS. That's how I use True Image on my PC.

Forum user MudCrab has a tutorial here: http://themudcrab.com/acronis_grub4dos.php that explains how to do this. You need sections 1 and 3 of the tutorial; ignore section 2.
