wondering about acronis 12 and windows7 behaviour
I have been a happy user of TrueImage and since switching to wndows7 something strange has come up. When i browse the backup "C", which is the entire system drive, something new has ocurred. when i open the folder Documents and Settings, it shows 0 bytes and no files inn any of the backups I have made since moving over to Windows 7.
Can someone tell me what is going on?

In Windows 7, "Documents and Settings" is just a directory junction pointing to "Users". The files that you want are in "Users".

yes correct, users is fine in the image. so i guess it does not matter
what is strange is that when i open the documents and settings folder in my C drive... not the saved image... i have all the exact same folders as in Users

Yes; that's how directory junctions work. They are a way to give the same folder two different names. In this case, Windows 7 (and Vista) changed the name of the folder from "Documents and Settings" to "Users". But to maintain compatibility with older programs that are hard-coded to save files in "Documents and Settings" they added a directory junction named "Documents and Settings" that points to the folder "Users".
When you are running Windows 7 you will be able to navigate to either name and you will end up in the same place. When you are exploring or mounting an image, the "Documents and Settings" junction won't work.
