Won't Boot

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis True Image Home 2010 PC Backup & Recovery
I have a new i5 4690 I built and it will not boot from this DVD or will it boot from a bootable DVD made by this program but this DVD Burner will boot from other DVD’s like Windows 8. Changing DVD Burners don’t matter.
I have a 1 year old laptop that will not boot from this DVD
I have a 3 year old laptop that will boot from this DVD
I have a 4 year old Desktop that will boot from this DVD and the bootable DVD I made from this program.
So is there something in the boot that only old computer will boot from and not new computers?

So I'm wondering if I buy the 2015, if that will solve my problem?
Also having a WD Network Drive causes problems and would the 2015 take care of that?

More recent versions have better support for more recent chipsets, but sometimes lower support for older ones. Your mileage will vary.
Try the new version. Before you do so, do a backup of your computer. Then uninstall 2010, install 2015. Test the recovery CD and make sure it works on all computers. For a recent computer with Windows Vista, 7 or 8.1, I recommend 2015, in particular if you have an SSD.
