Won't Run In System 7

Thread needs solution

I just purchased a new laptop which the installers lost all my data even though they claim they backed up my system data. While I was steamd at this, I figured "lucky I did a full backup on an exteranl HDU with my Acronis True Image 10 Home (English) s/n **removed by Michael**

However, I am missing something, because even though I download the lastest build from your web site, I am still being told TI won't run due to compatibilty issues. I am using an HP G71-34OUS.

You should remove your licence info from your post, unscrouplous people may be lurking. :)

TI 10 is now in the Windows 7 'banned program' database from Microsoft.

Whilst somethings may not work from the system tray etc, if you rename the TrueImage executable to something else, TI10 will run.

This is how I temporarily run Echo on W7 - soon to upgrade though, yeah!

Thanks for the feedback. I made a copy of the exec file and named it TI10.exe and it runs .....BUT both copies of my recent (made and verified before the new PC) now say they are not True Image files. Could this be because I downloaded the latest version? Perhaps I should reinstall from my CD?

I would verify the images from the TI 10 boot CD.

I don't think Acronis changed the image structure in TI10, so all versions should be OK with all version 10 images.
