Working with the latest build I've done at least two images where the time to completion estimate starts out at 49,710 Days ? TI quickly re-adjusts the estimate to a more realistic
Of a more important issue, I'm seeing several cases of where the TI GUI is
shown in diminished tone ( faded out, not fully displayed ). Also have had a case of a Tib-to-Vhd conversion that just fails, log file contains no useful data as to what went wrong.
Program is mostly working, but previous versions didn't seem to have quite as many initial release issues.

Many programs use what is called a moving or running average which calculates the average on the fly based on observed transfer rates. This will frequently show the average speed decreasing, stable and increasing as various other process "interfere or stop interfering" with the image processing.

The more data, the longer the run, the more accurate the result. When the process starts there are few samples and the numbers are wild.

Still doesn't explain why TI's progress bars are quite unreliable throughout the process.
