2016 Acronis Image Recovery on MacBook Pro 10.3 not working

Thread needs solution

Hello There,

I am wondering if anyone can help me doing Image Recovery on Macbook Pro OSX 10.3?

My macbook pro crushes when trying to upgarde the OSX, now it doesn't want to boot up, it hangs up on the apple logo. I tried doing fixing in the Disk Utility but it did not work. I got an error saying can't be repaired, with issues on Sibling Links, Incorrect Block Counts, etc. The Drive is greyed out in Disk Utility and I can not mount it.

So I tried using Acronis True Image 2016, I got a successful Image Backup of the entire machine. Replaced the Hard Drive but when I do the recovery, the new hard drive is greyed out. I went to the Utility and Tools on the ATI and I can see the new hard drive, I did also formatted using MBR but still when on the recovery window where to choose the destination of the image to put into the new hard drive is greyed out. I also did formatted in the GUI but did the same thing, greyed out.

Please help, is there any way to recover the data on my old hard drive?

Thank you very much,

Hello Ismael ,

thank you for your posting! I'm afraid Acronis True Image 2016 is not compatible with OS X 10.3, the supported operating systems are

  • OS X Mavericks 10.9
  • OS X Yosemite 10.10
  • OS X El Capitan 10.11
