Backup Parallels VM failed (solved)
Update: Problem solved. Apparently, Acronis backup only works when the virtual machine that Acronis tries to backup is actually running in Parallels.
I just installed a trial version of Acronis True Image 2019 on my new Macbook Pro 2018 running MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6. My normal Mac files back up fine to the cloud, but the Windows 10 virtual machine from Parallels did not backup. I created a separate backup for the Windows 10.pvm, which was nicely recognized by Acronis, but the backup stopped within a few seconds with the message:
"The last backup did not complete. It will be restarted in 30 seconds." The contents of the log file are:
