Hello,
have just commented on here https://forum.acronis.com/forum/79072#comment-245426 and than saw this one separate topic.
As we can see from the log here after 40 minutes backup operation fails with 'Error occurred while reading the file.'
'Reading files' occurs both on source and on destination (.metadata and .tib files are read).
So we would need to localize the problem:
could you please try to backup the same source to a local drive (not to a NAS)?
Aftrer that the Acronis System Report would be helpful for investigation.
Thank you in advance for cooperation.

Hi Sergey,
Thanks for your reply!
I'm starting a job to a local drive (USB drive)
The source is the same, i can only choose to make a full backup (so that's easy)
I'll let it run the night and let you know the result...
Regards
Pim

Hello Pim,
thank you for the provided information and for your efforts.
Could the destination be a FAT32 filesystem?
If so - it is quite predictable behaviour, that after writing of 4GB the operation fails because of filesystem limitations.
Kind reagards,

Sorry Pim,
actually I doubt, you have FAT32 filesystem on the destination drive.
It was a wrong guess.
Could you please provide Acronis System Report (send it to me in a PM; please in a PM body give the link to this topic) for further investigation?
(please refer to the KB article https://kb.acronis.com/macinfo)
Thank you in advance.

Hi Sergey,
I did format the USB disk to journaled and restart the job.
Know it take more time but failed again.
I will send the report in a PM...
Thanks!

Hi Pim,
thank you for the log.
It seems, that file system might have errors.
What I would suggest is:
-to verify/repair the whole disk and all of the volumes in Diskutility
if does not help
- please check the disk using the following command in Terminal:
sudo fsck_hfs -fy /dev/rdisk0

Hi Pim and everybody, who might be interested.
Below I just repost my answer to Pim:
Sergey Britvin wrote:Hi Pim,
thank you for your response.
As I can see from the fsck_hfs output ('invalid.partition.table.error.loading.operating.system.missing.operating.system') - there are some problems with the filesystem. Please try the following:
-reboot your Mac holding keys Command + s (keep holding, till you get into a text based shell)
-type 'fsck_hfs -fy /dev/rdisk0s2' and hit "Enter"
-after it has finished (few minutes), reboot the Mac (type 'reboot' and hit 'Enter')If it does not help, please try the same steps, but with 'fsck_hfs -fry /dev/rdisk0s2'.
For details please refer to
https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/documentation/Darwin/Reference/M...
and
http://johnliu.info/mac/repair-apple-hfs-file-system-with-fsck_hfs/I hope, it will help.

Thanks for your reply.
I tried " fsck_hfs -fy /dev/rdisk0s2" and "fsck_hfs -fy /dev/rdisk0s2"
When this process finisht the message is " completed whiteout any error's this system is working good"
I it possible to exclude system files? I can only make a full backup job there is not an exclude option..?
I started the backup job to a USB attach disk.
But my backup is stopping see log:

Hi Pim,
coud you please specify, if you have tried both variants
'fsck_hfs -fy /dev/rdisk0s2'
and
'fsck_hfs -fry /dev/rdisk0s2' ('r' - is important here) ?
And we would still need the system report, could you provide it?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Robert,
could you please specify, if you have resized the virtual disk of any of your Virtual Machines before you got this fail?
Could you please try to create a new backup in another one backup task?
Thank you in advance.

I have not resized any of my VM since before the fail. I created a new backup and it worked. What would cause my original backup to fail?
Thank you

Re: Pim's problem.
I had the same thing happen to me. No matter what the backup would get started then fail with "prlsrvctl: command not found" error in the log. So, I had an external drive and with three partitions (all as OS X native journalled format) somehow True Image switched from its backup partition to one I had reserved for Time Machine. I'm not sure it is a good idea to save True Images backup in the same drive as TM, so I reset the destination drive to a partition for this laptop and off it went and completed. I also made sure that the computer didn't go to sleep while a backup was taking place.
Does that help?
Ken

provide remote access to the machine?
Concerning the remote access credentials and date/time please write to me directly in a PM. (Please put 'Invalid internal API usage' in subject field.)
Thank you in advance.
