Problem after upgrading to Mac OS Sierra from El Capitan

Thread needs solution

After upgrading to Sierra, from El Capitan, Acronis 2017 will no longer start a scheduled backup automatically. Furthermore when double clicking the app icon to start Acronis, I get a popup window with the message "Acronis True Image wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this". After typing in my user password, the usual Acronis window opens allowing me to manually start the backup. The incremental backup then proceeds to completion as normal. Has anyone else encountered this problem or get any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Hello John,

Thank you for your posting! Have you installed the latest build version 5573 of Acronis True Image 2017? The support of OS X Sierra 10.12 has been introduced starting with the build 5573, earlier versions do not support it.

Thank you,

Hello Ekaterina

Thank you for your reply.

I did not know that the previous version did not support OS X Sierra!

Howevever, I was offered the update to version 5573 yesterday, and I installed it at about 18:00 yesterday. Unfortunately that has not resolved my problem which is still the same.

Thanks

John
