Type of backup drive to use with Macbook Pro
Hi,
I will soon get MacBook Pro 2015.
Is it ok if I use a boot usb drive (FAT32), boot into ATI 2017, then save backups to another USB flash drive (NTFS)?
Or should I backup the drive to the USB flash within the OS?
If so, what type of drive do I need and type of file system should it use?

Can I use exFAT? I'd like to use the drive on both pc and mac.

You should be able to store Acronis backup images on exfat, but cannot create the bootable recovery media to an exfat formatted drive. I'm not sure you can create a Time Machine backup to exfat though - pretty sure it needs to be OS X journaled if that's in the plans as well. There are some terminal commands that may help, but have never tried. http://lifehacker.com/use-time-machine-on-an-exfat-hard-drive-with-a-sp…
Just make sure to test it. Create a backup and let it run to the exfat drive - should work and if you get success, that is good to go. Then do a "mock" recovery (don't actually recover, but go through the process and make sure it can see the backup on the exfat drive) as the source of the recovery.
