Mobile backup won't delete

Thread needs solution

I decided to try out backing up my Samsung Galaxy using Acronis True Image 2018 but quickly decided it wasn't for me. The trouble is that now I have this option under mobile backups that just won't die. I select delete from the options and it seems to go but the next time I start up True Image it is back again. Any suggestions?

Hello TVJohn,

Welcome to Acronis forums! The easiest workaround would be removing the app from your mobile device and re-installing the product on the desktop.

***

If you want to retain the current settings, I'd recommend saving the Scripts folder with the backups job and putting it back after re-install.

Each backup task has a script of configuration info in C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts

These can be viewed in notepad. Open each file and check the name of a backup task - remove those that belong to the mobile backup. Check if Mobile backup is still displayed in the UI.

If the issue still persists, copy the good scripts of backup plans that you want to retain. Export setting as described here https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2018/index.html#10147.html

Uninstall the product, then reboot and install it anew. Copy the old scripts into C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts. Import old settings.
