QR scan code not working

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

 

I just downloaded and installed acronis true image 2017 software(trial) in my pc. I installed acronis mobile true image in my iphone. My wifi network is same in pc and phone. However my iphone is not scanning the QR code in my pc(acronis true image 2017). Anyone experienced similar issue. please help.

Unfortunately, I can only say that I have hit the same problem myself when trying to backup on Samsung J5 Android phone to my laptop running ATIH 2017.  I am able to scan the QR code on the phone but then it is never able to sign in.  I get the message "No connection. Ensure that this device and the PC are connected to the same WiFi network" with options to either Cancel or Retry.  I have tried retrying lots of times but get the same error.

I have checked the network and both devices are on the same network and subnet (192.168.0.5 Phone, 192.168.0.8 Laptop).

I have been able to backup the phone by chosing the Acronis Cloud as the destination.

We are working on troubleshooting instructions for the error message "No connection. Ensure that this device and the PC are connected to the same WiFi network" and will publish them in KB when ready.

We'd highly recommend investigating this issue through a support ticket.

This absolutely the worst software this company has ever produced. I used to love Acronis. Time to find something less complcated that I can setup and install without having to wait for a forum response. I'm disgusted. And I had very high hopes to replace an Apple backup system that has been bothering me.

If you haven't already raised a Support Case for your issue with not seeing a QR Code, then I would strongly encourage you to do so, and to take advantage of the Live Chat feature which will get you 'talking' to Acronis Customer Central support in real time.
