Hello Jacques,

Thank you for your posting! Currently Acronis True Image 2016 supports only these mobile operating systems:

  • iOS 8.x and later
  • Android 4.1 and later

I've registered your request for support of Windows mobile operating systems.

Thank you,

Hello

Your advertisement for ACRONIS True Image  17, which I bought a few hours ago states

"Mobile Backup to a Local Computer

Network detection and automatic mobile device backup over Wi-Fi to a local computer.

Optimized mobile storage for the fastest backup and recovery."

No mention that the mobile device has to be Apple or Android.

As a Windows 10 tablet owner I am very disappointed.

Hello

And the help file for Acronis 17 says

"Backing up your mobile device to a computer

A mobile backup is your guarantee that your data on your mobile device is safe and can be recovered in case of corruption or loss. You can also use the backup to transfer your personal data and settings from your old smartphone to a new one.

To back up your mobile data to a computer:

  1. Make sure that your mobile device and your computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. On your computer:
    1. Start Acronis True Image.
    2. On the sidebar, click Devices, and then click Mobile device local backup.

A QR code will be displayed. Please do not close this window.

  3. On your mobile device:
    1. Start Acronis True Image.
    2. Tap Back up to PC.
    3. Tap I already have it, or follow the on-screen instructions to install Acronis True Image on your computer.
    4. Tap Scan QR code, point your camera at the QR code on the computer screen, and then wait until the mobile device is connected to the computer.
    5. Select the data categories that you want to back up.
    6. Tap Back up now.
    7. Allow Acronis True Image to access to your personal data.

When the backup is started, you can track the progress in any application - on the computer or mobile device, but the errors and warning messages are displayed in the mobile app only.

When the backup is complete, your data is uploaded to your computer. If you want data changes (for example, new photographs) to be backed up automatically, make sure the Continuous backup setting is turned on. If this setting is turned off, the new data is backed up only when you tap Back up. Refer to Mobile app settings for details."

No mention that Windows 10 tablets cannot be backed up.

This is a data backup not an image of the system like on the PC.

I love Acronis True Image but to make a backup there are a lot of program's free and easier to use

Hello RPeake,

Thank you for your posting! Acronis True Image 2017 definitely can back up Windows-based tablets, but you'll need to install a desktop application on your tablet, not mobile application.

Thank you,

I have been using Acronis to back-up my HP Tablet (Windows 10); but as it runs full Windows, it requires the full Acronis installation.
