will i recover everything?

Thread needs solution

hi all,

Does the mobile image work exactly like in a PC?  Would I be able to restore the phone exactly as it was, with all the stored messages in whatsapp for example?

Also, I have bought a licence of true image for PC, does this work for the mobile version too?

many thanks!

The App only backs up personal data; it does not back up Apps. It is not a 'imaging' process like ATI. Did a quick check and could not find a listing of what personal data is backedup. My recollection is that you select the data to be backed up when you initially sign in to the App on individual devices. I suspect that data for some App may not be able to be backed up. Data for common App are more likely to be incuded in that that can be backed up.

If you have an ATI 2017 licence then you can use the App. To backup to the cloud you need to have a cloud subscription; you can also back up to a PC if you do not have a cloud subscription.

56523: Acronis True Image Cloud: Backing Up Mobile Devices

Better than nothing, but not a full device backup due to restrictions from iOS and Android that would require (but are not supproted) Jailbreaking or Rooting the devices.

Personally, I backup my phone to my PC and back those up with Acronis so that I have the ability for complete device restores with backup protection from the PC.

Sorry to come back  tho that subject, but I have a little problem with my contacts. I have made a cloud backup and after reseting my phone, I made a restore. But my contacts are lost! Waht is that backup worth, if the contacts aren't included?

Hard to say what the issue is, as you didn't tell us what app stores the contacts and didn't even tell us the type of phone/OS.

But, I'm with Bobbo. I backup my iPhone to my PC (and also to iCloud) using iTunes. Thus, my iPhone backups are included when I backup my PC using Acronis True Image. I haven't felt the need to perform a separate mobile backup using ATI, as I'm already covered.

I would open a ticket with Acronis and check with them.  Contacts, would probably only contain those downloaded to the local phone.  If you use the Gmail app instead of the mail app (or some other mail app), those contacts probablyh would not get backed up as they would be part of that app and not the phone storage.  Acronis mobile backup does not backup up any apps or data from those apps.
