I am unable to open a TIB file using windows explorer. In older versions I could simply click on the TIB file, access folders, and copy/paste whatever I wanted to directly from it with no need to open the True Image utility. Now, when I click on a TIB file windows explorer, what comes up is a separate window that says "Locate the volume with number '1'." Then, in the window I originally opened (where I should see the contents of the TIB file), it just sits there and no files can be viewed. Any ideas?

Hi Thomas, it's not a patch.  You just need to navigate to the hidden directory and manually delete the contnent within the hidden database folder:

%userprofile%\appdata\Local\VirtualStore\programdata\acronis\TrueImageHome\database

(copy and paste the line in your Windows explorer bar).  Any files in this hidden "database" folder need to be manually deleted.  If you get access denied, reboot and as soon as you log in, navigate there again and delete before attempting to open acronis or before double clicking on any acronis backup .tib files

Thanks for your help. I deleted the files but still no change.

I uninstalled Acronis 2015 and installed 2016, which I purchased the 5 license package for. I created a fresh backup image using ver2016 and still have a similar problem. When I click on the TIB file in windows explorer, nothing happens at all, just a quick flash of the window.

Another suggestion I received was to right click on the TIB file and select "Mount Image", but no such option appears. Maybe I am missing the Mount Wizard? 

On a side note - I have installed and used ver2016 on three other PCs with no issues. The problem appears to only be on this PC.

My last post about mounting an image was a bit misinformed. I went to another working PC and compared. I was looking for the mount image option while failing to seect "True Image" first, after right clicking on the file....duh!

After selecting the mount option, I gave the drive a random letter assignment (in this case I used "Z"), allowed the mount to proceed, and then was able to click on a TIB file in WE and browse it with no issues. Thank you much for your help!!!!!

Good deal!  Most important thing is that it's working and you know specifically where to look and how to do it now :)
