Thread needs solution

Dear forum moderators:

Having a "Hot Issues" forum is a bad idea. Most of the posts here are from users who are having problems with TrueImage. The proper place to post TrueImage problems should be in the TrueImage forum, correct?

Those of us who attempt to help users are not likely to look here. Having posts in multiple places makes it less likely that they will receive attention.

I suggest locking this forum and instead encouraging users to post problems and issues in the forum that is appropriate for their product.

Hi KOLO,

Locking this forum would be just another blemish on their recent record.

It would appear that many of the posts are regarding problems with the entire family of the latest Acronis products and compatibility problems with Win7. I'd consider that a "Hot Issue" that anyone really willing to help should probably look at too

Your point is well taken, but I still submit that having requests for help scattered all over the forum is going to be ineffective. Even the title page of the forum directs people not to post here, but they do:

I believe that the original intention of this section of the forum was for Acronis moderators to list Hot Issues, not for users to post help requests. So to better accomplish this goal, the forum mods should prevent users from posting here and should instead encourage them to post in the appropriate forum where there is lots of help available.

I can agree with your conclusion as to the use of this particular form IF acronis would use it
to keep people informed of "Hot Issues" and the action they are taking.

acronis could then direct people to the forms dealing with the specific issues for details.

I agree completely with KOLO what is going to happen is everyone with a problem is going to think his is a "hot issue". If I was having trouble, believe me I would want KOLO who is one of the more knowlegable people here, helping me.
