2 Hard-Disks Recovery; Different HAL Win2000; avoid computer-naming?

Thread needs solution

Following incident:

I created an image of a server, which is to be deployed to a different HAL.
It's a Windows 2000 server - machine running two SCSI harddrives.
I created an imagefile, where both partitions are listed. Am I to put two physical hdds to the new system to restore both drives with all letters in the image?

Is Snap Deploy 3 the right choice for that purpose?

Last but not least: Is there any opportunity to avoid computer-naming (meaning keeping the names and settings one by one written to the image?) in Universal Deploy?

Thanking you in advance...

Hello Fabian, and welcome to our forum!

Let me answer your questions regarding the product.

If I understand you correctly, you're going to deploy one master image taken from Windows 2000 server to some PC with dissimilar hardware, am I right?

If yes, you are able to do so with Acronis Snap Deploy 3.0 for Servers and Acronis Universal Deploy option (intended for deploying to dissimilar hardware). I can confirm that you will be able to deploy both drives keeping their letters.

Regarding an option to set a name for each PC: you will be able to do so as well, you should just set up an option to Reset SID and either choose to use name from system Master Image or specify the name by yourself.

Please check Chapter 9.2.5. of this User's Guide for the detailed information.

I'd like to make sure all your queries regarding Acronis products are resolved.
