Acronis Virtual Disc Driver Broken

Thread needs solution

So i updated my windows 10 install with the fall creators update today and for some reason the DiscWizard tool keeps saying i need to manually install the driver, which i have done, again, and rebooted, twice, do you have a version of this driver that actually works as i'm currently stuck without access to the data on this drive

Hi,

If you are using DiscWizard tool supplied by Seagate, please see the article Support for OEM Versions of Acronis Products. Support for OEM tools is entirely provided by the hardware manufacturer >whose product contains the Acronis OEM software, as they are best equipped to understand the specific OEM application as well as the relationship between the Acronis software and their product.

Thank you,

The tool directs me to an acronis KB article, the OEM software worked works fine its  the driver which doesn't want to work, hence its an acronis issue as you guys need to update the driver for it to actually work with the newest version of Windows 10, the software still launches perfectly fine it just can't help me because of the driver not being recognised

We have KB articles that store virtualdisksetup.msi file for Acronis True Image 2014 and Acronis True Image 2013 products. Note sure, if the driver could be installed together with an OEM version, which in fact is a different product customized by a vendor (Seagate in this case). So I could only suggest either installing the driver at your own risk or better to consult with Seagate (they can provide you with the correct version that works with DiskWizard).

The 2014 driver they link is older than the one from the 2013 article and the newest of the 2 is the same as i already have, seagate doesn't have a support channel for their software and updating the software actually rmeoved the option to access the extended partitions option anyway which is great, so now because neither of these companies can be bothered to support the software they released i'm stuck with 750GB of drive space full of data i can no longer even access, great job guys definitely going on my list of "highly recommended companies" >.>
