_Best acronis backup product for terminal server?_

Thread needs solution

Hi I've just recently setup a terminal server and I was wondering what Acronis Image backup software would be the most appropriate? All I want to do is be able to make an image backup that I can use for disaster recovery and restoring individual files. I don't suppose a copy of Acronis True Image 2010 would suffice?

Thanks for your advice.

Hello Lewis!

Thank you for your question and for trusting our software.

Unfortunately at the moment it is hard to say what exact product should suit your needs best, as far as it still depends on the setup of your terminal server, OS you have on it installed. Should it be the workstation OS, than Acronis True Image Home 2010 will be the best solution here.

But should you have Windows server OS installed, you will need Acronis Backup and Recovery Server for Windows, as far as Acronis True Image Home 2010 doesn't support server OS.

Should you have Linux OS installed, than the best will be Acronis Backup and Recovery Server for Linux, as far as only this product from the Standalone versions supports Linux.

Anyway you can test whether solution suits you well, the demo versions are available here for corporate products and here for home version.

I would advise you to also take a look at the documentation of products here.

If you could kindly give me more details regarding the setup of your Terminal server I would provide you with more detailed and suitable solution.

Thank you!
