LicenseServer does not list correct amount of used licenses

Thread needs solution

Hello everybody,

hopefully you are able to help me. I already did a search in the forums, the knowledgebase and on the web but I have not found a proper solution yet.

We are using Acronis True Image Server Version 9.1. The Problem is that the LicenseServer that came with it is not properly tracking the used licenses.
When I open the LicenseServer Console, choose manage local licenses and then "Manage used Licenses" only one license is in the List. It is actually the last client that registered with the server.

When I use the command line tool of Acronis to display the status of the LicenseServer it reports that only one license of Acronis True Image Workstation 9.1 is used. Five are still available, but this cannot be. We have working installations on additional workstations.

Does anyone have an Idea what I could do so the LicenseServer properly tracks the licenses?

Thanks

wo

Hello wo,

Thank you for taking your time to report about the issue.

This is a very unlikely behavior, so we will need to take a closer look at the issue, but let's first of all make sure whether you have the latest build of the software installed.

The latest build for the Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation is 3887, and for Acronis True Image Echo Workstation 8398. You can obtain both by going here and clicking "Download". I would advise you to remove the previous build first with the help of Add\Remove programs and only after that install anew.

After you have installed the latest build, please, re-add the licenses and check whether the issue persists.

Should you have the latest build of the product installed, please kindly gather the following information and contact me via PM - I will create the case for you, review the information and provide with the solution.

  1. Please follow the below instructions in order to create a Windows system information file on your machine; it will help us investigate the problem more thoroughly:

    - Open Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information;
    - Choose the "Save" option in the "File" menu (or "Action" menu under Windows 2000), enter the "File name" and set the field "Save as type" to "System Information File (*.NFO)";
    - Send us the saved file.

  2. The screenshot of the issue (how the licenses are seen from Windows and how - from the command line)
  3. Could you please kindly do the following?

    - Download AcronisInfo
    - Run the downloaded file.

    The gathered information will be put in AcronisInfo.zip in the same folder, where the AcronisInfo was saved.

    This information will allow us to take a closer look at the Acronis product state and logs.

I would appreciate if you could keep me updated regarding the case - I would like to help you resolving it and will wait for your reply.

Thank you!
