MIGRATE - 2014 STATUS? WIN 7?

Thread needs solution

There is a thread from several years ago (2010) on Migrate. It needs an update.
1. What is the latest/most current version of Migrate? Are there any plans to update/upgrade it?
2. Does it work, consistently and reliably, with Win 7 and/or Win 8?
3. My particular problem/challenge - I thought I was buying super-premium stuff, when I bought both an Intel i5 CPU and an intel mainboard, for a 64-bit system. Turns out that Intel didn't make good mainboards, and they have quit trying. Because of frequent freezes/crashes, and even the old "blue screen of death", I want to replace my Intel mainboard with an Asus, while keeping (1) the same CPU, which apparently is fine, and (2) the same install of Win 7/64, with same serial number, and with all my other software intact and working, if possible. Only other option is total wipe/format/reinstall and reinstall and reinstall and reinstall, etc., and then see if MS will accept my re-registration.
So -- can Migrate help me swap out the mainboard, from beneath an Intel i5/64-bit processor, if my HD stays exactly the same?
And, if not, then could Acronis please look into trying to update/upgrade Migrate, to make it work with Win7?
Because questions/tasks like mine will become more and more frequent, over the coming years. Especially since so many people like Win7 and want to port it to any new machine, without having to do a total reinstall, while quite a few people seem . . . lets's just say, "less thrilled" with Win8.

For anyone who might happen to find this -
I went into customer support, and spoke with an agent.
Migrate will NOT work with Windows 7.
Instead, I had to upgrade to True Image 2014 (US $60) so that I can use the "Universal Restore" options.
