Migrate Easy 7.0 VISTA OS Clone is not bootable

Thread needs solution

I ran Acronis Migrate Easy 7.0 on my Windows VISTA system and it ran without any errors. When I swap out the original HD and try to boot from the new 1TByte clone the monitor display

No boot device available, Press ENTER key to retry
SATA-0: Installed
SATA-1: Installed
SATA-4: None
SATA-5: None

I do not have any original installation disks as this is a Dell Inspiron
which had the OS preinstalled.

Edward,

The problem is most likely down to the cloning action not marking the drive as active. If you have or have access to a disk utility program you can check to see if it is so marked and if not make it active. This can also be doen from within a command prompt in Windows if you have a running system.
