Slow speeds with Dell Optiplex 760 and Snap Deploy 3

Thread needs solution

Hello,

We are seriously considering changing from Symantec Ghost 2.0 to Acronis Snap Deploy 3. We have tried to setup a testing environment with about 15 computers and it works exactly as we want it to exept for a VERY slow multicast transfer (and unicast).

All computers that we are intending to use this software on are Dell Optiplex 760.
It sounds to me like a driver issue. We are evaluating the product and are very interested in buying licenses if we only could get the speeds up.

Does anyone know how to install drivers that are specific to our hardware (internal network card)?

Regards,

Mikael Schultz

Hello Mikael,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Snap Deploy 3.0

Do not worry, I will help you with this situation.

Current version of Snap Deploy 3.0 does not support the feature to inject some specific drivers for faster performance. However, we have some special set of bootable components based on another loader, and usually it helps to fix some issues or increase performance. I can provide you with the link to download this component, but could you please clarify, how exactly are you using Snap Deploy? Are you booting the target PC from Snap Deploy Agent? Where and when exactly do you experience low network performance?

Could you please let me know the build number of the product, which you can find in the Help -> About dialog (it should be a 3 or 4 digit number)?

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

Hi All,

I am in the same situation. Dell Optiplex 760 and GX 520 with SnapDeploy 3.0 and it takes us more than 4 hours for a 10Gb image on one computer only.
There is something wrong and I don't know where.
I have tried two different switches and it's the same problem.

Thanks for your help
