Snap to deploy capturing image hangs
Good day
I am looking at using Snap to deploy instead of Windows deployment services. How ever I have tried both snap to deploy PC and the server edition. The first captures the image stage 1 of 2 but then hangs on stage 2 with 2 minutes remaining the server edition hangs a 1:34 minutes remaining. Is there something I have not setup correctly? I am am using the latest trial version on Windows 2008 R2 trying to take an XP image.

Hello Peter, welcome to our forum!
I will help you to resolve this situation with this hanging process.
First of all, please check the ISO file I have sent you via PM - it contains customized version of Master Image Creator based on another loader, and probably you will be able to create a Master Image with it.
The most probable cause of this situation is that product cannot access some data on your hard drive and imaging process hangs. So I'd recommend you to check disk foe errors:
- Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)
- Enter the command: "chkdsk DISK: /r"
where DISK is the partition letter you need to check. Please note, that
checking the C: drive may require you to reboot the machine.
If the issue still persists, could you also collect Acronis Report file, which will help us to analyze the structure of your hard drives. In order to create Acronis Report file, please download Acronis Report utility , run it and create a report. The default name of this file is "report.txt" and it is saved on your desktop. Then attach the report to this thread so I can analyze it and provide you with a possible solution.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

I am having the same problem. I'm running Snap Deploy 3 Master Image Creator using a boot disc created from an ISO file I downloaded from the website. I tried it using the ISO file created using the Management Console as well. Each time the software freezes in the middle of the image creation process and the display goes flaky. I ran the chkdsk command above and it did not resolve the problem. Would it be possible to get another ISO image? Also, the files on the CD do not appear in Windows Explorer. Is this intended?
Thanks,
Crystal
