Best Acronis alternative suggestions - I don't subscribe to any software as a service products.

Thread solved

Hello,

I was wondering what other users were switching to now that Acronis has made it so difficult to buy perpetual licenses? I'm roughly familiar with a lot of free options which I have considered but I'm willing to pay every few years for another perpetual upgrade of a commercial package. I'd prefer something that image based.

What are your thoughts fellow perpetual users?

Thanks for the link.  I'm switching to Macrium Reflect for daily backups and Clonezilla for bootable media image creation and restore processes. I'm sad to leave ATI as I've been using it since version 8.

I do not do software subscriptions for any software and to be honest the inability to turn off all of the mandatory protection services, coupled with the increasing number of services running at all times, has been a huge turn off.

Maybe if Acronis starts allowing customizable installations of just the features you want and goes back to perpetual licensing, I'll consider coming back.

Hello Nyle,

Thank you for the feedback.

It just so happens that Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office allows you to install only the modules you want. Please refer to the following KB for more details: https://kb.acronis.com/content/69387

As for the licensing module, I suggest you check: https://kb.acronis.com/content/68375

Best regards.
