What type of power plug would this card take?

Thread needs solution

Hiya,

I opened up my case, and found female molex plugs... My question is, can you tell what type of plug is on this card?

That would complete the other half of the plug needed.

Thanks in advance,

CotS

Specs. say it is a SATA power connector. You can use this:

Are you shure your motherboard has a PCIe x 1 slot?

So sorry for the  late reply...

Absoluely positive.This mobo has 1 x16 and 3 x1 pci slots; and that's it...

I should mention, that I just measured, the  length of the of the slots. that you can see from the back of the computer,  which appear to be 4 to 43/8 inches across. Should that be enough room to fit a full height card? (4.7 inches someone said on the net.)

Thanks in advance,

CotS

That is a full height slot. It's the case not the motherboard that could limit the space. You just need to make sure any drivers supplied by the card are compatible with your version of Windows.

Thanks for the information. Yeah, they have drivers that I'l be downloading from their site when my other deliveries arrives tomorrow. So, I'm stuck at bay until then.

I've waited this long, (i.e.  months,) so 24 hours should be a breeze.
