Greetings Luc3k,

Thank you for joining us on our Forum. We will be glad to answer your queries and help resolve your issues.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience resulting from your backup issue. Please rest assured, we will be assisting you to have your backup operations smoothly up and running.

Just to clarify, and kindly correct me if I'm wrong, you mentioned that you cannot get your backup tasks to run, as you have difficulties selecting the destination for them, that being a QNAP NAS device. Furthermore, your NAS device does not show up in the list of storage devices to select from to save your backups to. You have your NAS storage device connected via a LAN, and also, as a precaution, you have tried disabling your firewall to see if it would help.

Could you please clarify whether your NAS device is accessible under your operating system. Additionally, from the product interface when choosing the destination for your backup, do you manage to see your NAS model appear, upon clicking on Browse and clicking on the arrow on NAS connections?

Could you also specify, if and when you are able to select your NAS device, whether you are prompted with a screen for network access credentials. If so, have you tried to test the connection, and subsequently, successfully managed to access your folders on your NAS?

To better understand the root cause of the issue, I highly recommend that you provide us with screenshots of the steps you perform whilst attempting to back up to your NAS device. You may attach the screenshots with your following posts for easy access.

In addition, you could very well choose to back up to your NAS device through the Network tab within the Browse for Destination window under the Browse option from within the Destination selection section - as opposed to selecting the NAS connections tab. Do you see your NAS directory tree appear from here, and if so, are you able to view your existing files and folders? Provided that you are able to select your NAS folders from the Network tab, you may choose to backup to your NAS device through this very tab in the future.

For more information on NAS-related issues please see this Knowledge Base article. Additionally as a general guide to backing up to NAS devices using Acronis True Image Home 2012, you may check this Knowledge Base article for further details.

Please provide us with the relevant details and screenshots, if possible, and any updates you may have, so that we may properly identify the issue and assist you in resolving it.

Let me know if you have any additional questions or issues that I may be of help with.

Best regards,

Volkan

Exactly. But it is progress on this issue. Yesterday i disabled Eset Smart Security (this is firewall and antivirus software) - no results. Today i uninstalled Eset Smart Security. Next I Installed Esed Nod32 Antivirus (this is the same software but without firewall) and disabled Windows Firewall - it worked. I could see all devices on my network. So, I think that Windows Firewall creates a problem.
