Backup taking a very long time. Progress showing 98% forever

Thread needs solution

I am doing a backup of a partition. It is set to do incremantals after the first full backup. The incremental is 32 GB in size. The 32 GB backs up quite quickly (15 or 20 min.) as far as I can tell. I see the progress indicator at 98% right now and it has been that way for over 1 hour. Why does this take so long?

Greetings,
Any conclusion or update. Have you reviewed the logs and found anything?

Thanks

I am experiencing the same behavior running on-line backups. The back-up status shows 98% complete for 5 hours. The log file shows that there is a five hour gap between two activities. The actual on-line update appears to only take a couple of minutes.

Hi Paul,
This may have to do with the timezone and location of the server where the online back up is taking place. This makes the elapsed time look greater than it really is. I'll see if I can't get more information about this.
