Problem with Acronis 2010
I too am having problems with Acronis True Image 2010th When I installed Acronis 2010 under Windows XP and have then created an image of the Sytempartition, I can not create that image on a new HDD again. Although the data is written correctly to the new HDD, but the system can not boot. I have several times with different HDD's and tried out with various machines. The image is completely worthless.
Am I doing the same thing with Acronis 2009 everything works fine.
I'm annoyed now immeasurably 2010, purchased and can only advise against any of it before, because Acronis does not get it or like me in the support chat is happening is portrayed as incompetent, Ladies and shot down.
A pity really, because I was highly pleased with my Acronis and it has always served well. Now I'll look around for an alternative, because my data is more important to me than my loyalty.

It was created under Windows XP with ATIH 2010, an image of the system partition.
Yes, the image is in the same PC will be restored only with a new HDD. Unfortunately, this is not possible, because not boot the system after restoring the image.
With ATIH 2009, this is absolutely no problem. With ATIH 2009, I can make the image even on another PC with a new HDD and boot again.
With ATIH and 2010 is not even possible!

Did you uninstall 2009 and use the Acronis Cleanup Utility, before installing 2010?
