Clone error

Thread needs solution

Hey,
I'm trying to clone a raid0 to a SSD.
The raid0 is my current boot disk. It has about 170GB. The SSD I'm trying to clone to has 256 free GB.
When the clone process is about to start it just gives me an error (without any details).

Any idea anyone?

PS: the help file says, that the program should ask me for a restart, in case I'm trying to clone the system drive (which I'm doing). But it's not asking me that. It just tries to start and fails.

Not sure of your issue but have you tried the clone when booted from the TI bootable Recovery CD? Try also the manual mode rather than the Automatic mode.

I booted with the recovery tool now.
Now it won't show the raid0. It just shows one of the 2 disks.

THis means you have a Linux driver support issue with your RAID controller. You will have to purchase the Plus Pack, create a WinPE-based recovery CD and try again. Until them recovery CD can see your RAID 0 as a single volume, ATI won't be able to restore your system

Did you create your RAID0 in the BIOS or in Windows?

Yes, a hardware RAID is better supported with ATI. You still need the Plus Pack, though, to create the WinPE-based disk, and hope that the latest Microsoft AIK has the drivers built-in. Otherwise, you will have to custom build a WinPE with ACronis and the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer. Possible. More complicated.
